Quotes

The following quotes were written and submitted by Donald Amyx:

There is no promise that life won't rain on your parade, but there is a promise that there will be a rainbow afterwards.

With one tiny step of faith by man and one giant leap of grace by God, man and God are reconciled.

Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here; now is the best time to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.

Be thankful for everything, your worse day on earth is better than any day in hell.

A sword is only as good as its edge---the sharper the edge the better for battle. The study of the Word of God is to hone and sharpen the Sword of God that is used in our warfare against the unseen sinful forces of the world.

When Jesus saved me, I was lost, undone, and a mess---since that day I'm not as lost, not as undone, and not such a mess. I'm thankful that God is long-suffering.

Pray for Us

Please pray for our pastoral couples, Walter and Cindy, Bob and Gwen, Spurgeon and Gina Marie, Nick and Vivian, and for our youth worker Aimee. In our ministry, we reach out to and minister to people from varied backgrounds. Many of the people whom we touch have been abused or hurt in some way, by family, aquaintances or even the church. We would like to ask for prayer for strength, wisdom, discernment and anything else that we need to keep up this ministry that God has given us.

Please pray for the raising up of solid church leadership in our fellowship, and the others around us, who know and appreciate the hardships and trials of the people of the community. We don't want people who will rescue, but instead people who will enable and encourage and equip the people they are ministering to in personal growth and responsibilities and in their walk with God.

Please pray for our community as a whole. Like many inner city communities, violence, drugs, prostitution and abuse are all intimate parts of the people here. We would like for prayer that God would allow us to make great impact in the lives of the people of the community and in effecting their healing and salvation from lifestyle which keep them from experiencing the fulness and joy of the Christian life. We would even ask that God would allow us to be instrumental in wiping out these lifestyles in our community.

Please thank God for those He has brought alongside of us. We currently have three missionaries from NAIM and NCEM working with us. While they are called to their own ministries, they have also felt called to be involved in the ministry of Healing Hearts. We are deeply appreciative of their work, of their dedication, of their calling. Please remember Gisela, Debbie and Ken as you pray for us. We have also had interns from various Bible schools, groups from other churches (one is currently doing the Kid's Club on Wednesdays and is the main reason for it's success), mission groups, etc., join us in our work here in Regina. Please thank God for them and ask Him to continue to bless them.
