Our Worship
Since worship is such an important part of any church fellowship, we take great care in how we worship. Our general musical style is a veritable grab-bag of differing styles of music, most of which has come out in the last 30 years. While we do use some hymns in our worship, the preference is for worship choruses, mostly the more contemporary styles. We believe that worship, as any other part of our communion with God, should be intimate and meaningful. We do hop every now and then, but we also get close and personal with our Lord.
The Lord has allowed us the special privilege to have several songwriters in our small congregation. We believe that they are there to bless us with their music so that we may bless God with the songs which He has sent into our midst. We also get many of our songs from songwriters in the city in which we live. We believe strongly that the Lord sends songs in particular fellowships and communities for use in those places.
In our worship, both in Sunday services and Kinship groups, we use a mixture of home-grown as well as Vineyard, Hosanna Integrity, Hillsongs and various other sources. Our worship is generally free from constraints as long as it is in keeping with God's word.
